Sunday 17th June 2007

Every year we organise the Thatcham Carnival, always held on Father's Day at the Thatcham Memorial Fields.

The carnival includes a procession of floats through the Town.  All the floats are decorated to a theme.  Local community groups and schools enter into the spirit of the day.

Prizes are awarded to First, Second and Third placed floats and prizes are awarded when the procession arrives at the Memorial Fields.  The floats set off at 1pm from Enterprise Way and make their way through the town arriving in the field at around 2pm.

There's lots to enjoy on the day - Fun Fair, Beer Tent & Food Stalls, Battle of the Bands, Line Dancing Exhibition, Carnival Princess Competition and lots more attractions!  The fun begins at 11.30am.

Local charities and community groups are invited to set up stalls at the field.
